Tamiya Bigwig offroad

This year Tamiya has re-released a 1/10 EP offroad legend of their buggy line. It is the Bigwig released in the 1986.

About mechanic it is very similar to original buggy but the box doesnt inludes the Technigold motor. The "wing" body has been designed at time by Takuya Yura a top japanease car designer.

The Wing shell kept the car firmly on the track due to downforce. The buggy can accept the wild power of 8.4v ni/cd battery pack.

I have also the original kit. I will post some pics later.

Schumacher Cat XLS

Last july has been re released the Schumacher CAT that won the Ifmar 1/10 off road championship in the 1987 with Masami Hirosaka.

The Buggy is the same of original version; This car - designed by Cecil Schumacher - was a true revolution in that time in 1/10 buggy.

For the "new"  Cat is available also a new belt transmision in order to use powerful brushless motor systems. The kit include a diploma about authentication and a pen.

Japanease Rc cars vintage magazines

Here are some rare magazines about japanease golden era rc cars. They are all in very good conditions.

They are SUPER MACHINE issue 1988.11, Radio Control magazine issues 1989.9 and 1990.3 and the mook Radio controll technique 1987.8

The review of my favorite 1/10 competition off-road buggy like the Kyosho ultima, Lazer ZX, Nikko Brat, Yokomo YZ. But not only also Tamiya Bigwig, Tokyo Marui Ninja and many more.

 

Kyosho Rb6

Some weeks ago i bought this Kyosho Rb6 2wd buggy with x-gear trasmission for better acceleration and smooth braking.

The motor can be moved on mid and in the rear position, depends of track conditions (clay, carpet, etc.). It is really a nice car to drive better of by Dex210 V3 in my opinion. I fitted a 9t hobbywing motor with a 23 pinion.

 

Durango Dex210 V3

I bought this used Durango Dex210 V3 complete with ESC, Speed Passion 7.5 and fast servo. It is the lastest version of the Dex210.

It is a very nice 2wd buggy for racing.

A nice day on local 1/10 Ep buggy track

Here ares ome shoots of some of my 1/10 rc buggies on the local track. They are a HB D4 with a 8.5t motor, Tamiya TRF501X (6,5t motor) and a Durango Dex410V4 (speed passion 5.5t motor).

I drove also my big Carlson (HB) Dirt Attack (1/5 scale) in the track; it is very fast and it is capable of amazing jump.

I bought the Tamiya and HB D4 about 10 years ago but they still are strong and fast!
