Hirobo Vertol restoring

Some time ago i bought this Hirobo Vertol in bad conditions. Now i began to restore it. I will convert it in EP with the right motor and support. My goal is use 6S lipo with stock CH-46 gear ratio. With the current setup i can use the stock clutch and bell.

I fitted two old Futaba G301 piezo gyros.

In the bottom  there is a short movie of maiden flight. Only a first test to understand if the vertol could fly.

 

Hirobo 890kv motor

Here is a Hirobo 890kv motor that i will fit in a old Vertol GP for an EP conversion. It is the same of Shuttle EP conversion.

So i will use it with a 80A esc and 6s lipo  (2 x 3s packs). With this configuration i can use the vertol stock gear ratio because i will the same rpm of original OS37 GP engine but with more power and torque.

The motor comes with his support for and easy fitting on the Vertol.

Hirobo Vertol mixer and gyro

These are is the items HIROBO 2410-005 TR-SVMIX and 2410-006 GYRO dedicate for Ch45 Vertol and CH47 Chinook.

The First version of Hirobo Vertol had a mechanical mixer. The new version of this bi-rotor comes with this elettronic mixer and 3 axis Gyro. I got these parte for bargaign.

Hirobo Vertol KV107

Here is a vintage Hirobo Vertol KV107 released in the 1988. It is the first version with mechanical mixer for control the two rotors.

I bought it for bargaign due his bad fusolage conditions. The KV107 is new never flow but his body have to be repaired. So when i will have to time i will begin the restore of this amazing helicopter.

I will convert it in a EP helicopter. I think i will choice 890kv motor for use it with a lipo 6s pack. Originally this helicopter was design for use a 32 GP engine

The mechanic is perfect only a bit dirty.
